Skills in Demand (SID) Visa (Subclass 482)

Skills in Demand (SID) Visa (Subclass 482)

The Skills in Demand Visa (SID) (Subclass 482) has replaced the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa, offering a modern and more flexible pathway for skilled workers and Australian employers facing critical workforce shortages.

All SID visa pathways provide a direct route to permanent residency through the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (Subclass 186). The program is designed to support Australia’s labour market by filling skill gaps across diverse industries.

The SID visa is divided into three dedicated streams:

Specialist Skills Stream
Core Skills Stream
Labour Agreement Stream
